RC Rep is excited to announce our inaugural New Works Festival:
Crossing Borders
May 30th @ 7pm
May 31st @ 7pm
RC Rep’s inaugural new works festival, (R)evolutions, will explore new plays and musicals that literally or metaphorically look at the theme of crossing borders.
Borders can be geographical, racial, political, emotional, sexual, gender-related, etc.
Borders can be obstacles or opportunities.
Borders can create, reveal, and mend conflict.
RC Rep put a call out for new plays earlier this year, and have selected two plays (from 75 submissions!) to move forward toward development. The two playwrights have each been paired with a dramaturg, director, and a cast. Together, they are workshopping the play, and will present a staged reading of their plays to Michigan audiences in a public performance.
Congratulations to (R)evolutions New Works Festival's 2023 playwrights:
Cris Eli Blak (USA) and Jessica Moss (Canada)
Tickets and Donations
Come to a reading – in person or online.
Tickets are $10 each, or save $$ and attend both readings ($15 for both).
Spread the word. Tell your friends, colleagues, social media followers!
Without ticket sales and donations, RC Rep would not be able to bring invigorating and thought-provoking stories to the stages of Southeast Michigan. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to ensure these stories have a platform on which to be seen and heard.
Every donation counts! Make a donation of any amount, and be sure to share our fundraiser far and wide.
Join us in person or online for (R)evolution's Staged Reading Performances
